Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Text Humanize (text-humanize.com, “we”, “us”) is an independent website. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests about your data, contact hello@text-humanize.com.

2. Text you submit to the tools

What happens to it

When you use the humanizer or AI detector, the text you paste is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our server. To produce a result:

• Humanizer: the text is sent to one of our AI model providers, Groq, Cloudflare (Workers AI) or NVIDIA, which generates the rewrite. If the first provider is busy, the next one is used instead.
• AI detector: the text is analysed on our server. If external detection models are enabled, it is also sent for analysis to Hugging Face (which runs an open-source detection model for us), Sapling AI and/or GPTZero.

These providers process the text to return a result to us. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We choose providers that offer API access for this purpose, and we don’t authorise them to publish your text.

How long it’s kept

• We don’t save submitted text to a database or link it to you.
• To make repeat requests faster, the result of a humanizer or AI detector request (including the rewritten or analysed text) may be stored in a temporary server cache, identified by a one-way hash of the request, for up to one hour. Expired cache files are deleted automatically.
• Our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and troubleshooting. These logs don’t contain the text you submit.

Please don’t submit sensitive information

Avoid pasting passwords, financial or health information, or other people’s personal data. The tools don’t need it to work.

3. Data stored in your browser

The humanizer saves your settings and your last 10 rewrites in your browser’s local storage so you can find them again. This data never leaves your device. Clear it at any time with “Clear all” in the History panel or by clearing your browser’s site data. Your cookie choice is stored the same way.

4. Information collected automatically

Rate limiting

To prevent abuse, our server keeps a short-lived counter for each visitor, keyed by a hashed version of the IP address. These counters reset within minutes.

Analytics

With your consent where required, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, referring site, and events such as starting a rewrite, copying or rating a result, and the score of an AI detector check. We don’t send the content of your text to Google Analytics.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. With your consent where required, ads may be personalised based on your visits to this and other websites. 5. When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and keep a record of the conversation, and delete support emails within 24 months unless we need them longer to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.

If you previously signed up to our email list, we hold your email address for that purpose. We don’t currently send newsletters. Ask us and we’ll delete it.

6. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK visitors)

• Providing the tools you request: performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in running the service.
• Security, rate limiting and server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and available.
• Analytics and advertising cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
• Replying to emails: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry.

7. Sharing

We don’t sell personal data. We share data only with the service providers named in this policy (our hosting provider, our AI model provider, optional analysis providers, and Google for analytics and advertising), or when required by law.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. California residents may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising: choose “Decline” in Cookie settings, or opt out through Google’s ad settings.

Because we don’t use accounts, we usually can’t link submitted text to a person. To make a request, email hello@text-humanize.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

Text Humanize isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you’re under 18, please use the service with a parent’s or guardian’s permission and in line with your school’s rules.

11. Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. API keys are kept on the server, access to server files is restricted, and temporary data is deleted on the schedules above. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please avoid submitting sensitive information.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date. Significant changes will also be highlighted on the site.
